Do any1 wanna share some kind of way to make a couple of platinum quick?
I'm in a money crisis.. my E/Mo goes around with 15 armor and dies in 3sec. I have almost all mats for 60 armor but then there is the price of 7,5k to buy all the parts. Plx some1? |

This is the everlasting question that every players asks at least once in their Guild Wars career. The fact is that money is always an issue when in comes to the first character that you create, atleast until you reach a reasonable single-farming level. The fastest way to earn money is to farm in areas like Tombs of primeevil kings, Fissure of Woe, Underworld and Sorrows Furnace. This is the places that you get valuable drops that you can sell to other players. Before you reach level 20 it will be hard to find a group that will accept you in their team, and most of these areas you won??t reach until you are lvl20.
Up to that point you can always single farm the areas you just ran through. Search this site to get different builds for different areas to farm. I made my money to my first 15k armor outside Henge of Denravi, with my warrior. You can earn up to 3k in one of those runs. But that was with my level 20 warrior. Otherwise all you can do is to leave nothing on the ground, pick everything up and sell it. You can also collect the things that different collectors want and trade with them. The items you get from them are often worth more in the end than the items you trade. If you find a maxdamage weapon or shield, you can always sell them to other players in Ascalon, making a little bit more money than you would selling them to a merchant. |

Never had any problem doing money; usually if you want to make good money it's enough to play... pick up and ID every item before you sell to merchant. And if you happen to get a really good drop you can try selling it to other players for some extra bucks.
Otherwise, if you are willing to try, trading is still the fastest and more efficient way to make up some plats. You need to have some cash to start, and have a good knowledge of item's value, and then it's up to you and your trading skills. I don't like to trade cause to me it's boring, but you can easily make 100-200k per day. I wouldn't recommend farming, it's REALLY REALLY boring but that's the easiest way to make money |

trading is the pwnsauce. yesterday i turned a quick 300k profit. Nothing that amazing. it is by no means always consistent as some days just suck. work up from a small amount. i remember when i started out with 15k and made another 15k and with that i bought a longsword which ii sold for 90k. do this over and over and you can make tons.
Edit: just re-read your post. sell everything you pick up to merchant, id it first. get gold price checked here. learn the prices so you can pick up bargains Last edited by The Herbalizer; May 12, 2006 at 09:23 AM // 09:23.. |

to this date the BEST money maker in the game is Amber and Jadete...
At an estimated 3k a pop on th high side... with only minor farming required to get them and the HUGE demand for them for armor. its a very nice and effecient little money maker... I have several guildies that have told me that prior to factions they were having a hard time breaking 50k ever, but now most of them are well over 100K and happy for it... And the demand seems to grow Daily. Heck even selling them just to the NPCs yields a decent price. So there you go... The New Greens are selling quite well also I am told. I just don't have the WTS bug as some of you do. I let others do that. lol I can't wait for auction house to make my game life easier and more lucrative. |

after yuo get out of the areas ascalon and into shivereaksand suck salvage all whites then play the stock market with materials
you can sell to other players who are usually happy to buy most for half way between what a materials merchant will give you for it ad what they would pay to buy from it after a few days you should notice highs and lows in the pricing os you wil know better when to sell and when to wait |

for the most basic needs such as affording armor, it really shouldn't be that big of a problem.
honestly, just go play the game normally, and you'll find yourself making enough gold for what you need. -do all of your quests, even with henchmen. turn them in for the rewards, which often net you a little bit of gold. -trade in the imperial commendations you get from quests for superior id and salvage kits. -while questing, pick up ALL of your drops. id or salvage them and sell to the merchant. after a while, you'll find yourself with enough cash to buy your armor while having completed your quests. no farming involved! |

Yeah I was gonna say, faction farming(ff) in Cantha. I've done that in Altrumm Ruins. Trade 1k faction for amber chunk. People will buy that for 3k each.
If you're a Droks runner, you could have people pay 2k for the run. If you have a group with people that much each, that's a lotta gold. Not sure which of those two are faster. I'm a ranger so I do the Amber thing. When doing that at Altrumm, if you're in a group that's getting like 600+ faction per run, you're at a really good pace. You just need 1,000 faction to get an amber. Of course you need access to the House Zu Heltzer to get the amber chunks. And that's where people are buying. I would like to find a way to make gold at that pace or faster from the game itself, rather than off of other gamers. So the idea is that it's generating more gold from the game, and not taking gold from the gaming community. Probably not a big deal, but there are others that sell Amber Chunks to other gamers too. And people are buying at 3k each. You can sell for 2 or 2.5k for a quick sale. But I always find people buying for 3k. I like to do the Tomb of Primeval Kings thing too. I haven't been to the Underworld yet. MORE TIPS/common sense: If you find a black dye, KEEP IT. They'll sell for a lot. If you don't find anyone buying and really don't want it, sell it to a dye trader, not a merchant. You'll get more. Same with rare crafting materials like Rubies. If you don't want it and no one's buying, sell it to a rare material trader. If you find a Glob of Ectoplasm, keep it. People would buy it for 5k. You can also use it as a bargaining item when trading with other gamers. If you really don't want it and no one's buying, sell to a rare material seller. (a regular merchant won't pay you much for it) ~I made this mistake the first time I got a Glob and didn't know what it's for, and sold it to a regular merchant. I invest in a regular identification kit for just 100gold. When I sell dropped items to a merchant, I have the sell window and F9 open all bags window open. When I i.d. an unidentified item, I like to see how much the price rises. The price I can get for selling it to the merchant. For it to be profitable, each use of the ID kit(25 uses) has raise the price more than 4 gold. I guarantee you over the 25 uses per ID kit, you'll make more than 100gold. Especially if you farm in the Tombs of Primival Kings. Some single items will increase in the gold you'll get by 100 or more. Check out the price check forum and see the price baseline for green items. I sold some good ones for top k in gold. You can adjust the price you're asking for, for a quicker sale. Gold earned vs. time saved, your call. Last edited by Linksys; May 13, 2006 at 10:51 PM // 22:51.. |

Amber is the BEST money making right now, and you can do it with little effort.
GO Kurzich. Get to Braur Academy. Join an FF Group (stands for Faction Farming). Common roles are: Monk - to rez/heal Ranger - Trapper Warrior - Takes Aggro if Oni spawn, and helps kill house lord Necro - BiP Ele - AoE stuff Takes ~2-3mins per run. You get 3k Exp, 400faction ,and 175 gold. Every 1k faction can be turned in for an Amber Chunk. Those are worth 2.5-3k ea and are in HUGE demand. So you need 6-7k? Run 4-5 times to get 2k faction and turn it in for 2 amber and sell for 6k....BOOM.. |
